I couldn't read this fast enough. It has been my second read from Christopher Paul Curtis and I ate up the story like a kid eating a sucker behind the couch his mom told him not to eat in the first place. It was funny and serious with racial issues thrown out to the reader. Told in the narrative of Kenneth Watson, it follows his family and life in school focusing on his bully brother Byron (By).
