Dan Icor Is a good samaritan who embarks on a cross-country road trip to formulate a plan for his future after he loses his job. When he detours from the superhighway to a rural country road, Dan has no idea he is about to be led in a direction he never could have imagined.

After Dan pulls into a gas station in the middle of nowhere, he witnesses an unspeakable crime and commits a selfless act that leaves him critically injured. As he heals, he realizes he has acquired special abilities and has been pitted against ruthless adversaries intent on terrorizing a small town. While Dan courageously takes on corruption and incompetence, an emerging leader threatens the American dream. As Dan’s journey grows in scope, he must prepare to take on the other merciless opponents waiting for the right time to pounce.

In this compelling novel, a good samaritan is thrust into a violent confrontation that sets him on a new path where he must battle dangerous enemies as he discovers newly acquired secret abilities.

Comment On Based On Books The Detour (Dan Icor Trilogy #1)
Travis Pearson's writing draws you in immediately, making the turning of the page irresistable. His rich imagery truly makes you feel as if you were there, plunged into the world of an everyday hero searching for truth. This is the beginning of one of those series you hope never ends!

Get this book Travis Pearson is my favorite author period full stop . Im now officially a huge fan. I had previously read The Last Defender and The Orichalcum Rod . The Orichalcum Rod left me wanting more , as in , I want a sequel .I just finished The Detour and I wont have that problem because it is a trilogy. The Detour is a different type of book with plot lines that in some respects could be ripped from news headlines . Its very hard to write reviews sometimes without giving too much

This is a fascinating book. On the surface it is about justice, good over evil and taking back the power of being able to live free of fear. Beneath this is an examination of what is going on in our country today and the power politicians have over us, controlling banks, media and our rights under the Constitution. It's a frightening look at our country today. I highly recommend it.

Travis Pearson put everything into his fabulous debut, The Detour. Dan Icor is a CPA that has seen his father, a simple dentist, taken advantage of because of family. Dan learns at an early age that some people consider themselves privileged and dont have to live by the same set of rules they impose on others. After being fired for questioning a discrepancy at his bank, Dan comes across a family in serious trouble and takes a chance in helping them. This alters his life forever. After being

An exciting tale of good vs. evil and the villains are genuinely vile! A despicable crime and a relentless quest for justice. Dan Icor confronts the vicious oligarchy controlling a small town, and begins to suspect a complicit media. I read all three Dan Icor stories and was impressed with the way all narratives were related, part of a much bigger plot with the implication that elected officials often have their own agenda. Not necessarily our best interests at heart.

You might not want to take a detour after reading this book. Great thriller. Quick read. I look forward to reading more from this series.
