The murders are quite brutal and there's a patter going on, but the army appears to be covering something up. I always love to travel with Alex Cross along his journey's and it was great to have a case with Sampson on hand the whole way. I like what the future holds for Cross and I think that he is better poisitioned for future serial killer hunting now. Overall the actual case was mediocre. There was a lack of military understanding and some loose ends that weren't really tied.It just didn't drum up enough excitement even though it could have. Just a 3 star for me, but I will be back for more Cross in
In FOUR BLIND MICE, Patterson takes an intriguing premise (an investigation into a group of Vietnam vets being framed for murder) and turns it into a complete and utter waste of time. No scene stands out in this novel, nothing feels the least bit real or convincing. The romance, the family drama, and the dialog are almost unbearable in their cheesiness. This is now my new favorite Alex Cross novel! I thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Everything just worked in this one. It was not as predictable as some and there was suspense and romance! I am reading these Alex Cross books in order so we will see if it stays my favorite. I loved the different sides of the military and government we see in this one. It added a lot to the storyline but some of it was really unsettling but you cant be naïve to think this could not happen in real life, which
