Chronicle Supposing Books Zoe, Undead (Zoe, Undead #1)

A new disease has struck worldwide, one that attacks and reprograms the brain, kills and controls the body, and reduces the less than living victim to a killing/eating machine.

With more than seventy-five percent of the world's population either dead or infected, only a few pockets of resistance remain. The remnants of militaries have banded together with a few volunteers to form Zombie Response Teams to fight back and prevent the extinction of mankind, but they are losing the war.

One family will fight to protect their autistic daughter from the horror of the wandering zombie mobs.

They fail.

Now, Zoe unwittingly holds the key to mankind's survival, to winning the war, and only she can walk in the two worlds of the living and the undead.

Assess Out Of Books Zoe, Undead (Zoe, Undead #1)
I enjoyed the concept. A zombie who is not completely a zombie. The cover is strange. It captures the story but there is something about it I do not like. I loved J.R. Knoll's The Chronicles of Brawrloxoss. That is the main reason I decided to read this. Over all I like the book but the way some things were explained and/or written could have been improved.

Actual rating: 3.5 starsFirst off, massive massive kudos to J. R. Knoll for writing a zombie apocalypse story starring a 17 year old girl with Asperger's Syndrome. How awesome is that? Straight off the bat, Zoe gets bitten but ... because her brain is set up differently, she only turns into a "half-zombie" if you will, retaining her cognitive abilities, personality, and love of Spaghetti-Os. I wanted to love this story, and it certainly had a lot going for it. Clearly, Knoll has either known

This may be one of the most interesting zombie books I've read. Well written. Pulled me along from start to finish.I only noticed one error and one cringe moment. There's a scene when the Colonel is talking to Zoe and the Sergeant. During the conversation, one of the paragraphs begins with something like 'the Sergeant continued'. I looked it over a couple of times, and no, it was the Colonel who continued talking. The cringe moment was when the Doctor said Zoe, with Asperger syndrome, 'had the

Seventeen-year-old half-zombie Zoe's quest to avenge her dead family is full of surprises and unexpectably poignant. The action doesn't let up for a second. I was sorry to see the story end. It's a fast read, because once you pick up the book, you won't want to put it down.

I must admit, I was a bit skeptical about this one. I mean, the book sounds decent, but that cover...oh, that hokey cover does this book no favors . I gave it a shot anyway, and discovered a hidden gem.The writing is quite good, from the style and pacing to the editing. The story itself is fantastic, with just the right mix of action and 'quieter' scenes to further character development and relationships between the characters. Not once did I feel a scene was dragging or just 'filler'. Nope,

How much do I love that this author used a 17 year-old Asperger's girl as the main hero in this tale? So much! This novel is about a young girl named Zoe who we meet during a Zombie apocalypse. Because her brain processes things differently, when Zoe gets bitten by a zombie and is infected with the virus, while she becomes a zombie physically, it doesn't affect her brain and she retains her humanity. What's brilliant about this book is that this girl, who always stands out, stands out even more,

After just having read Warm Bodies I didn't think I could be enthusiastic about a zombie book in a long time, but i wanted to read some book by the author as I met him on deviantart. And what can I say? For the most parts I truly enjoyed the story of Zoe.So much so, that i stayed up until 3 am the other night to finish it.Zoe is a really likeable main character. The whole plot isn't something completely new,... (view spoiler)[zombie virus takes over earth, one girl is found with some anomaly and
