Annie's 1st Break (Annie McCauley #1)
She may also snag the heart of sexy Tomi Di Ponti, the CEO of Di Ponti Cosmetics and Fashions, but not without a lot of trouble from her arch rival, Brittany Carstairs, another alumnus of the trailer park and a woman who never met a nasty trick she didn’t use.
When it looks like things can’t get any worse, along comes Luther Grolsch, handsome, dangerous and possibly the most annoying man Annie ever met. Hilarious situations and quirky characters in the tradition of Janet Evanovich and Jennifer Crusie make this screwball, romantic comedy adventure a must read. This is the 1st book in the Annie McCauley romantic comedy mysteries series. There are four more available and more on the way.
I can't even begin to give this book a rating. Absolute crap. I've read chick lit before. When it started going brain dead, I stopped. I decided to go back, just for the Hell of it. I made a bad choice to go back with this one. Although I do admit that it started out rather well and was actually funny in the beginning. As I got further into it, it started to die. I could actually feel my brain cells committing suicide. A horrible book, badly written, predictable plot. Just really, really BAD. A
Funny and Action packedGreat story that had me laughing from the very first paragraph. Characters you love, characters you hate, and even a few you can easily relate to! You start off thinking Annie finally is on the right track to the good life on Easy Street, you wind up thinking what's going to go wrong next. You start to think things are finally calming down again for Annie, until she opens her apartment door to leave for her date...thank goodness for the drunk pizza delivery guy!
A mindless read (which I don't mind too much, since my brain needs a holiday). There were a few funny moments, but the implausible plot, the exceptionally dense main character and the oh-so-obvious setup for a sequel didn't inspire me to read any more.
Easy breezy beach read. Still rather annoying but better than nothing.
This book cracked me up in the first few pages . It is so full of humor thru out the whole book. Its about Annie who was born in Texas but wanted to be a model. But things seemed to always happen to her, not that any of it was really her fault. She has a close friend Luis who is with her through out the book. She also has a evil enemy who hates her named Brittany. Annie is trying figure out which man she should end up with ,Luther or Tomi Im sort of rooting for Luther or his brothers instead of
Not one of my favorites. I did not like the main character, Anne. She was a bit too dramatic, but trying too hard to be fun loving. I did love her best friend Luis.

Entertaining, action-packed tale full of dramatic misadventures, with a protagonist who regularly find herself looking ridiculous but never lets it slow her down, which I enjoyed.I can't even begin to give this book a rating.
