Returning home never looked so good...
Home from college to help her mother on the family farm, Lexi Griffin expects things to be quiet and normal. She's back in her hometown, and everything is the same as she left it, including the slowly mending broken heart given to her by her high school sweet heart, Blaine.

After years away, Robert Shaw has returned to his hometown for his father's wedding, looking forward to reconnect with old friends, but he has no clue what's in store for him when he sees Lexi again. Sparks fly between the two, and Lexi is a bit reluctant to start anything with Robert, especially when past wounds haven't healed the way they should have. Robert is determined to have her, against all odds and good sense. A girl like her came around once in a lifetime, and he never forgot her.

And then Blaine comes back to town, intent on rekindling what he had with Lexi, even though his past cheating and drug use has slightly soured him in her eyes. She still loves him, but can she forgive him?

As Lexi takes a leap of faith, she suddenly faces the ultimate betrayal from one she trusted. Will she realize the truth in time or will corruption ruin the best thing that has just walked out of her life?

This was the first book i had read by this author. i'm so glad i did i loved this book :DI loved both Lexi and Robert and their chemistry slowly built throughout the story. Lexi is just getting over splitting from her ex Blaine who is a rock star druggie and Robert is supposed to be only back for the summer but upon meeting each other they both realize this is more than a fling. Plenty of drama ensues with the ex and a best friend. The secondary characters are also great especially Blaine the

Loved this book! This is a new genre for me but since I love this authors other books I gave this a try and can I just say WOW!!! This story focuses on a building romance between Bobby Ray and Lexi. They are an adorable, sweet and well perfect couple. Both have some trust issues when it comes to relationships so will they be able to overcome that and let each other in? This is a definite must read and I can't wait to hear more about Blaine in the second book and Abby in the third.

Well, Julie Morgan has done it again. Southern Roots is an amazing 5 star, Contemporary Romance. I loved every minute of it, and I believe I just may ask Bobby Ray Shaw for his hand in marriage! Southern Roots made my heart beat faster, yet melt at the same time. Julie did a wonderful job making the characters realistic and the story very true to life. Lexi, Bobby Ray, Makayla and Blaine are all extremely realistic and people that you already know and love, in your circle of friends. Bobby Ray

Southern RootsAbsolutely loved the story line of this book! Had you laugh, had you sad, then had you very happy for the couple! I can't wait to read more of this series.

**Book provided by author for an honest review**I thought this book was so romantic! When we are introduced to Robert in the beginning of the book, we are immediately filled in on his family drama. He lives in Georgia near his mother and step father, the Senator, and his father and soon-to-be step mother live in Texas, which is where Robert is from. Robert is returning to his home town for his father's wedding to Sabrina. When he returns, we are introduced to his cousin Makayla, who is a pistol!
