Narration In Favor Of Books Le Lion

2ème lecture -fev. 2017 :

Notice Based On Books Le Lion

Just based on the plot, this could have been a really good story: The daughter, deeply attached to a lion and to the land around her, the mother fearing she will lose her child to these foreign parts, the father, incapable of interfering and finally forced to destroy his daughter's dream. But unfortunately there was just too much long-winded description that was entirely irrelevant to the plot and the action didn't really pick up until the last few pages.

This is a book that had the most impact on me when I was a child. I read it when I was 12 years old, and it's probably the first time a book made me cry. It's about a friendship between a little girl named Patricia, and her lion, whom she raised since he was a cub. It takes place in Africa, in a reserve near Kilimanjaro. The author's narrative, the atmosphere, and the story are enthralling. I was able to identify myself with Patricia, I saw myself in her struggles, joy, frustration and dreams.

Izuzetno dirljiva priča o odrastanju u afričkoj divljini, o prijateljstvu, privrženosti životinja ljudima i, nažalost, često prisutne ljudske želje za superiornošću nad ostalim živim bićima.

This book is titled "The Lion" in english. It's a great story of a child growing up in Africa who is friends with an African lion. Her parents are divorced and her father comes to Africa to visit her and hopefully bring her back with him. Africa, the Masai, and the child's relationship with the lion are the theme's of this novel. It was made into a film some years ago. It is in many ways a beautiful book that glows with the love of Africa.

Description des mœurs Masaï.
