Danger! presents page after page of information on things that are dangerous in this world and out of this world. These things exist in nature, our environment, space, science, our own bodies and much, much more. This is a very cool book! It's similar to other books published by DK in that each 2-page spread tackles a different subject with using eye-catching designs, colourful and interesting graphics/illustrations, as well as informative text. Even though it's written for 10-17 year-olds, Imight go along with our danger/disaster book talk...
Looooooved it!
I could see this being a huge hit with boys aged 10-14. It includes facts, but its interesting enough that it doesnt feel like a textbook. To me, it felt rather jumpy. Like there would be a blurb about a bunch of different topics. I think thats intentional though, considering the target audience. My favourite features were the historical comics. They provided more background and were visual, yet informative. I feel like this book would lead to more reading overall, once an interesting topic was
Best illustrated book ive ever read! Very similar with Do Not Open published by DK Publishing. Its so hard to find another book like this
This is the book for anybody that likes to live on the edge of danger. This is a book for those that like to explore all things dangerous. This book has facts regarding the spooky science, scary science, nature nasty and so much more. However, all these interesting facts are shown in a comic book style. With that being said, I decided to twin this book up with the graphic novel Lost Boy. Both these book have a darker side to them presented in comic book form. The main character, Nate, goes on an
